DAY 1: CUSCO CITY TOUR + 4 RUINS

Welcome and pick up at the airport in Cusco to take them to your hotel. According to the arrival time of your flight, you will have the morning free to rest. In the afternoon we have planned a visit to six most representative tourist sites in the city of Cusco. We will pass by your hotel to begin the tour in the Cathedral of Cusco, here you will be able to appreciate the most beautiful pictures of the Cusco school that date between the XVII and XVIII centuries. We will continue the tour to the temple of the Sun or Qoricancha considered the most sacred place of the Inca culture, since here according to some chroniclers they tell us offerings to the sun god, besides that this temple has different deities inside it, you will appreciate the temple of the moon, Illapa (lightning), that of stars and rainbows. We will continue the journey to the archaeological sites outside the city of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman here appreciate the perfect construction of the Inca walls, built in the Inca Pachacuteq period. We continue the visit in Qenqo and its galleries center dedicated to the cults of the sun god and the Pachamama mother earth. Pukapukara the red fort, and finally Tambomachay center dedicated to the cult to the Water consists channels, aqueducts, and some waterfalls. Our tour ends at the main square at approximately 6:00 p.m.

DAY 2: CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES

After breakfast at the hotel, we will pass by you to begin the tour through the magical Sacred Valley of the Incas, during the tour you will be able to appreciate the most beautiful landscapes of the mountains and some villages that make up the valley. We will begin with our visit to the archaeological site of Pisac in this enclosure we will find streets, houses, temples, and ceremonial baths. After visiting the handicraft market of Pisac where you can take advantage and do some shopping, learn more about the customs and art of the people. After a delicious buffet lunch in the Sacred Valley, we will continue with our visit in the archaeological site of Ollantaytambo or also known as the living Inca population know the Inca enclosures, places that were the homes for the Inca nobles, the temple of the sun and its incredible andenerías. Here we will stay to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes to spend the night.

DAY 3: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – OLLANTAYTAMBO – CUSCO 

Very early we will board the bus to travel for 25 minutes and get to the entrance of the Inca citadel Machu Picchu. Here our guide will wait for you to begin the guided tour you will know and learn more about the history and architecture of the Inca culture and some legends that our guide will narrate them. For more than two hours you will be enchanted by so much Inca wisdom and more to a wonder of so much natural beauty on the top of the mountain, you will walk through the most beautiful sites of the citadel temples, platforms, houses, and sacred places. Undoubtedly, you will enjoy an incredible experience before the majesty and beauty that surrounds the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu. It will be a unique experience that will finally be without words will be like being in the sky above the clouds.
In the afternoon we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to rest, have lunch or take a bath in the hot springs. And at the right time, you can board the train with the return to Ollantaytambo and then take it to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 4: CUSCO - VALLE SUR - PUNO

After breakfast, we will pass by you to begin our journey through the southern valley to reach the city of the Puno highlands. We will start visiting the Sistine Chapel of America in Andahuaylillas, this church is decorated with baroque altars in wood. Then we will arrive at the archaeological site of Raqchi after the guided tour we will have a buffet lunch and then we will arrive in the lithic museum of Pucara. Here we can appreciate stelae, monolithic and zoomorphic sculptures. Later we continue our trip to the city of Puno to spend the night.

DAY 5: PUNO - UROS ISLANDS - TAQUILE

After breakfast, we will pass by you and we will move to the port of the lake, we will sail on the highest lake in the world Titicaca. We will learn more about the inhabitants of the floating islands of Uros. We will continue to the natural island of Taquile known as the island of the children of the Sun here the settlers are very friendly and welcoming. And in spite of the activity of the tourism, they preserve their customs and preserve the great ethnic value, traditions and their colorful clothes. We will enjoy a walk of more than 40 minutes around the island and we will know more about their knowledge and ancestral traditions of the people. Here we will have a typical lunch at the place accompanied by music and dance. Then we will sprout to the city of Puno to spend the night.

DAY 6: PUNO - JULIACA AIRPORT

After breakfast at the hotel according to your flight schedule, we will pick you up to take you to Juliaca airport and take your flight to Lima to return home.

  • Take your passport or identity document with which you reserved.
  • Arrive half an hour before the train station.
  • To get to the entrance gate of the citadel of Machu Picchu board the bus very early to avoid long lines and wait.
  • Carry a small backpack with your personal items, such as a camera, water, fruit, sandwich, rain poncho, a hat for the heat, sunglasses, mosquito repellent and sunscreen.
  • The train to Aguas Calientes only allows you to carry a maximum of 7 kilos of luggage.
  • Wear trekking shoes as you will climb many steps in Machu Picchu.
  • Use a walking stick if you wish.
