Welcome and pick up at the airport in Cusco to take them to your hotel. According to the arrival time of your flight, you will have the morning free to rest. In the afternoon we have planned a visit to six most representative tourist sites in the city of Cusco. We will pass by your hotel to begin the tour in the Cathedral of Cusco, here you will be able to appreciate the most beautiful pictures of the Cusco school that date between the XVII and XVIII centuries. We will continue the tour to the temple of the Sun or Qoricancha considered the most sacred place of the Inca culture, since here according to some chroniclers they tell us offerings to the sun god, besides that this temple has different deities inside it, you will appreciate the temple of the moon, Illapa (lightning), that of stars and rainbows. We will continue the journey to the archaeological sites outside the city of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman here appreciate the perfect construction of the Inca walls, built in the Inca Pachacuteq period. We continue the visit in Qenqo and its galleries center dedicated to the cults of the sun god and the Pachamama mother earth. Pukapukara the red fort, and finally Tambomachay center dedicated to the cult to the Water consists channels, aqueducts, and some waterfalls. Our tour ends at the main square at approximately 6:00 p.m.


After breakfast, we will pass by you to begin our tour to the salt mines of Maras and the agricultural laboratory of Moray. We will start visiting the town of Maras an important town during the era of the viceroyalty now we can see some typical houses of the Jesuit priests with inscriptions of dates, names of the owners. After visiting the salt mines of Maras are more than 3000 pools of salt, its existence dates from the pre-Inca cultures and is currently being exploited by the residents of Maras. In the afternoon we will return to the city of Cusco.


The most awaited day by all the Cusco and foreign visitors revives the Inca culture with this celebration. The Inti Raymi or fiesta del Sol was one of the most important celebrations of the Incas that was held for the beginning of the winter solstice. Where the sun god was worshiped, this celebration implied certain rituals of animal sacrifice, dances, offerings, music and banquets. This celebration meant a lot for the Incas since this day the sun was reborn to start the new annual cycle, according to some chroniclers the celebration lasted 15 days.

The tour of this day starts from pick-up at your hotel to take you to the front of the Qoricancha temple or temple of the sun, here we will be located in a strategic place so you can appreciate the event. You will be amazed by this unique show full of music and dance with almost sixty years of tradition, the Inti Raymi is now part of the culture of the Cusqueños people. Not only is it a central act of the jubilee month of the city, but its fame has transcended the borders of Peru. After all this wonderful and unique Inca show of Inti Raymi with assistance always from the guide we will go to the private bus to return to the city of Cusco.


After breakfast at the hotel, we will pass by you to begin the tour through the magical Sacred Valley of the Incas, during the tour you will be able to appreciate the most beautiful landscapes of the mountains and some villages that make up the valley. We will begin with our visit to the archaeological site of Pisac in this enclosure we will find streets, houses, temples, and ceremonial baths. After visiting the handicraft market of Pisac where you can take advantage and do some shopping, learn more about the customs and art of the people. Here we will stay to board the train to the town of Aguas Calientes to spend the night.

In the afternoon we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to rest, have lunch or take a bath in the hot springs. And at the right time, you can board the train with the return to Ollantaytambo and then take it to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 6 - June 27: CUSCO - AIRPORT

After breakfast at the hotel according to your flight schedule, we will pick you up to take you to the airport in Cusco and take your flight to Lima to return home.
